The Gamma bench is made from robust reclaimed wood sourced from decommissioned Danish harbours. A 6 cm high base foot in each end of the bench raises it and adds a little elegance to the compact design. The bench will always have large amounts of rustic details and holes from its time in the harbour.
The wood is certified FSC Recycled 100% and verified free for chemicals.
The bench is made from upcycled azobé wood from decommissioned Danish harbours. Due to the wood’s strength and natural density, the bench is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. When placed outdoors and exposed to sunlight, the wood’s surface will change over time and become a silver grey colour. See examples of this here.
The bench is made to order, and each one is unique. For this reason, it is important to point out that the photos shown are only indicative. The bench’s patina will always be unique and the holes will be places asymmetrically and vary in size.
If you have particular preferences as regards the wood’s expression, then you are welcome to contact us. This is also relevant if you would like a different length to the ones available here. We are always keen to listen to your preferences and do what we can to deliver, if the raw material available allows us to do so.
You are also welcome to come and see examples at one of our products at one of our showrooms where it is possible to see the unique wood.
The bench is made with a sanded surface. This means that the outer weathered layer has been sawn off. This gives the bench a more level and smooth surface.
The bench will always have large amounts of patina and rustic details, especially in the form of holes from the bolts that have held the wood in place in the harbour.
