UNIQ plank table
Our most exclusive and unique plank table. Made from planks that have served in the front line of the harbour, in direct contact with the harsh salty environment, constantly exposed to the elements and the pressure of docking ships.
The plank table is made from reclaimed azobé wood from decommisioned Danish wharves. All tables are made to order, and each one is unique. For this reason, it is important to point out that the photos shown are only indicative.
Our Uniq table is only available with a rustic finish as, in contrast to our other tables, it is not made from the large harbour pillars, but from the outer layers of the harbour wall, where the planks have been battered by the incoming ships. These are therefore our most rustic planks and also the most authentic, as we do all we can to preserve the historic details in them. As regards Uniq, these planks contain a good deal of bolts and bolt holes as well as original slanted ends.
The planks are approximately 390 cm long. If you choose a table in this length, the original slanted ends will be visible at both ends of the table. If you choose a shorter length, new slanted ends will be created, in-keeping with original details. Please note, that the table will cost the same in each width regardless of its length. This is because we do not use these planks for any other products, and the pieces that are cut off will therefore be discarded.
When we make your table, we do so by carefully selecting planks that go well together. The planks are sanded by hand, with the utmost respect for the wood’s unique patina and historic details. Uniq is made with unika wooden legs. They are cut from the outer edge of the pillars and therefore include many rustic details, and a hole. The legs are carefully chosen to suit the look of the planks. For widths up to 100 cm, the tables are made with a single wooden leg. Wider tables are made with double wooden legs.

We always sand these planks most carefully, aiming to create a smooth and pleasing surface, whilst also preserving as many of the original details as possible. As regards Uniq, these planks contain a good deal of bolts and bolt holes as well as original slanted ends.
